The Friends of Hayhurst PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is a volunteer-run nonprofit that supports the students, staff, and families of Hayhurst Elementary.
We work together to build community, enrich learning, and fund programs that make Hayhurst a vibrant, welcoming place for every student.
Our PTO organizes events, fundraisers, and programs throughout the year that directly benefit our school community, including:
Classroom and teacher grants
Field trips and enrichment programs
School events like the annual Auction, Fun Run, and Movie Nights
Campus beautification projects and improvements
Community-building activities for families
Every dollar raised stays right here at Hayhurst to support classroom programs, school-wide initiatives, and on-campus improvements.
When: General PTO meetings are held on the first Monday of each month during the school year from 6:30-8:00pm, excluding PPS no-school days.
Where: If you're joining in-person you can find us in the Hayhurst Library most months. Check the Husky Howl or Friends of Hayhurst Facebook group to confirm there will be an in-person option. Can’t attend in person? Join virtually via ZOOM or revisit our meeting notes posted to the links below after each session.
Who: All Hayhurst parents, caregivers, teachers, and staff—whether you’re a long-time volunteer or just interested in learning more.
What: Meetings include updates from leadership, principal/teacher reports, and discussions on upcoming events and funding priorities.
